Fox 21 News is experiencing a wholesale turnover in its anchor staff.

Weeknight anchors Nick LaFave and Makenzi Henderson recently left the station and now weekend anchor Tracee Tolentino also is leaving.

LaFave, one of the station's founding anchors, left Aug. 2 for KTAL-TV in Shreveport, La. Henderson left last week with no future plans announced.

Dan Hanger was named lead weeknight anchor after LaFave's departure. Station management had no comment on the turnover.

Tolentino tells the News Tribune she'll do her last shift in the weekend anchor chair on Sunday. Then she'll have one more reporting shift on Monday before departing for her new job as reporter and fill-in anchor at WKRN in Nashville.

The Southern California native said the jump to the larger Nashville TV market will get her a little closer to her goal of someday reporting in her home state.

Tolentino said she's felt very welcomed in Duluth. She arrived in February 2010 -- and didn't experience her first snowstorm until May that year.

"The fact it was snowing in May was just unreal to me," she said. "I did a story on the snow in May."
