Downtown project to affect bus routes

The first phases of the Superior Street reconstruction project will mean altered routes for city buses, the Duluth Transit Authority announced.
The alternative routes, using First and Second streets, will be required while Superior Street is closed from Mesaba Avenue to Third Avenue West beginning Monday, according to a DTA news release.
The route changes will be in effect until Phase 1 of the reconstruction project is finished, according to the DTA. Temporary bus stops will be placed along the detour route.
