A two-day conference on doing business across borders kicks off today at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. The Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce organized the Northern Networks Conference, an event featuring trade experts and business people from Northwestern Canada, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Keynote speakers will include Alex Cirillo, 3M vice president of community affairs; Leslie Schweitzer, senior trade adviser for the National Chamber Foundation of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and Steve Duerr, interim executive director of the Murie Center in Grand Teton National Park.
The conference runs from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Daily tickets cost $79 each or $149 for a two-day pass.
