An open house held to gather information from the public on the redesign of Sixth Avenue East is at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grant Recreation Center, 901 E. 11th St.
The event is being held by the city, Fit City Duluth and Neighborhood Housing Services. Sixth Avenue is a route for traffic headed from downtown toward the mall area and Duluth Heights. People will be able to comment on draft concepts that address safety and walkability.
Public Solutions and SHE created the draft designs. The redesign study stems from the East Hillside neighborhood Revitalization Study of 2006 and was funded with Community Development Block grant money.
