Hermantown teachers will be on strike today, Robert Prosen, Hermantown Federation of Teachers representative, said last night. Conrad M. Fredin, attorney for the Hermantown School Board, said school will be open and all extracurricular activities will proceed as usual.

Sources say National Steel Co. has received nine bids for pellets to replace the supply from its taconite plant in Keewatin in case an agreement with workers is not reached. The workers are in the 55th day of their labor dispute.
