  • Two Duluth Masons yesterday were elected to high honors by the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite in Washington, D.C. Daniel F. Levenduski and Andrew E. Hagensen were elevated to the 33rd degree, the highest honor possible in the order. News Tribune

  • A memorial service for the three black men lynched in Duluth in 1920 will be held Oct. 26 in Park Hill Cemetery, it was announced yesterday. Permanent markers will be erected on each of the three recently located graves.
  • Fall colors in the Northland this year haven't attracted as many tourists as in past years, according to a survey of businesses and visitor centers.
