Plans are in the works for a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant near Miller Hill Mall in Duluth.
The restaurant is tentatively planned to go into the former Gander Mountain location, said Beth Wentzlaff, president of CMRA, property manager for the building at 1307 Miller Trunk Highway.
The restaurant would occupy about one-fifth of the 36,000-square-foot former retail space, said Pat Barrett, director of construction for Oppidan, the building's owner. Barrett said the lease is not complete.
Wentzlaff said bids are being accepted for renovation work, and a completion date has not been set.
Buffalo Wild Wings "has been looking for quite a long time -- close to a year," Wentzlaff said. "The timing is finally right for them."

Wentzlaff said reconstruction work would include a kitchen, restrooms and walls. She estimated design work could take a few months.
Buffalo Wild Wings, which has more than 600 locations nationwide, has not returned calls seeking comment.
