A dead bobcat caused a stir Thursday night on U.S. Highway 169 north of Virginia.
The State Patrol reported Friday that it had to clear a bobcat from the road after a call about the animal came in about 9 p.m. While bobcats aren't rare in the Northland, the animal, which was apparently struck by a vehicle, still drew the attention of passers-by. The humans created the hazard, the State Patrol said, but traffic flow was soon restored.
