The Duluth Air Show also was in the September issue of World Air Show News, which included photography from the event. In the magazine, the event was labeled one of the "Summer's Best."

* St. Luke's hospital received full accreditation for its services from the Joint Commission that recognizes compliance with national standards for health-care quality and safety. The accreditation includes hospital, clinics and home-care services. The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced, on-site evaluation of St. Luke's hospital and home care in May.
