  • Friends of the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Ave., will host the Merry Little Christmas Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. You will find a variety of donated like-new, highly “gift-able” books for affordable prices. Items include new releases, best sellers, cookbooks, nonfiction books, children’s titles and many more. All proceeds from the sale will support library services and programs throughout the year.

  • Strikepoint, Duluth’s internationally-acclaimed handbell ensemble, will present a holiday fundraising concert, “A Bell Noël,” 7 p.m., Saturday, at First United Methodist Church, 230 E. Skyline Parkway, Duluth. Tickets available at the door. Cost: $20 for adults; $10 for children age 10 and under.

  • The 11th annual More Cowbell fundraiser will be held Jan. 16 at Grandma’s Sports Garden in Canal Park, 425 S. Lake Ave., Duluth. Pre-sale tickets available for $25 until Jan. 10. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • AEOA's meals-on-wheels program is seeking volunteer drivers on Thursdays and every other Friday. Delivery times begin at 10 a.m. with an approximate delivery time of 1-1½ hours.
