New brand for North Shore Bank
Duluth’s North Shore Bank of Commerce unveiled a rebranding on Tuesday that includes a new logo, new website and two fewer words in its name.
“We feel this new brand will carry us well into the future,” CEO Ken Johnson said in a news release.
Now known simply as North Shore Bank, the more than 100-year-old institution also became the first bank in the region to go with a “.bank” website, as in www.northshore.bank.
“This was a natural step for us because the security of our customers’ information is a top priority for our organization, and this new domain provides additional layers of cybersecurity that other domains such as .com do not,” Johnson said.
The American Bankers Association said .bank domains have “a higher level of mandated security than any other commercially available domain.”
