The Duluth Vacuum Co. is celebrating its grand opening Saturday after eight months in business on Miller Trunk Highway in Hermantown. The store sells vacuums and repairs of all makes and models. It also offers home purifications, laundry repair and air diffusers. The locally owned business is a sister store to Sara's Vac Shack in Cloquet.

The store's general manager, Sean Dechaine, said the store's management prides themselves on customer service and helping the community with all their vacuum needs.

This weekend's grand opening will aid the Humane Society of Douglas County by donating $10 for every person who attends the event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Duluth Vacuum Co., 4879 Miller Trunk Highway. Attendees will also receive a $10 store credit. Duluth Vacuum Co. is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
