Nominees for Labovitz awards are announced

Fifty-two businesses in Northeastern Minnesota have been nominated for this year’s Joel Labovitz Entrepreneurial Success Awards to be presented April 20 in Duluth.

The annual awards, now in their 24th year, recognize outstanding business owners and entrepreneurs in the region.

Presented by University of Minnesota Duluth’s Center for Economic Development, it is the region’s celebration of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week.

The awards luncheon will again be held at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center’s Harbor Side Ballroom. Cost is $25 to attend, $200 for a table of eight. To register, visit umdced.com by Friday.
