ALEXANDER, N.D. -- An oil company is reporting a spill of about 350 barrels of oil at the site of one of its wells in northwest North Dakota.
The North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources, Oil & Gas Division, said today it has been notified of an on-site oil release at a McKenzie County oil well.
An initial report from Zenergy indicates about 350 barrels of oil were released and contained on site, the department said. The initial report said 300 barrels had been recovered.
The North Dakota Department of Health said the initial report indicated a pump leak.
The Oil & Gas Division sent a state inspector to the site.
