One person was killed and a second critically injured in a traffic accident in Itasca County on Monday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Carmen C. Jenson, 68, of Blue Earth, Minn., was killed after her eastbound Chevrolet Trailblazer crossed the centerline on U.S. Highway 2 and collided head-on with a westbound Chevrolet Silverado. The Silverado's driver, Ralph H. Vonasek, 72, of Bemidji, Minn., suffered minor injures.
An RV trailer Vonasek was towing overturned in the accident, and motorcyclist Michael D. Kenjalo, 61, of Goodland, was critically injured when he hit it.
The accident happened shortly after 5 p.m. near Blackberry.
