Abigail Schimenek and Andrew Ferri, both of Encinitas, Calif., will be married March 9 in Long Beach, Calif.
Her parents are Richard and Pamela Schimenek of Cloquet. His parents are Robert Ferri of East Setauket, N.Y., and Sharon Ferri of Wesley Chapel, Fla.
The future bride is a 1999 graduate of Cloquet High School. She is the safety director for a general contractor in Escondido.
The future groom is a 1998 graduate of Ward Melville High School in East Setauket. He is the marketing director for an advertising firm in Carlsbad, Calif.

Schimenek, Johnson
Laura Schimenek and Eric Johnson, both of Cloquet, will be married Aug. 4 in Cloquet.
Her parents are Richard and Pamela Schimenek of Cloquet. His parents are Paula Johnson of Cloquet and the late Ronald Johnson.
The future bride and groom are both 2005 graduates of Cloquet High School.
She is a paralegal at a Duluth law firm. He is an operator at USG and a firefighter with the Cloquet Area Fire District.
Surprise times two
With this joint announcement comes an interesting Thanksgiving story.
Abigail and Andrew were engaged on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, while visiting Andrew's family in Long Island, N.Y.

Just one day earlier, Laura and Eric were engaged, without knowing what Andrew had planned the very next day!
Abigail and Laura are looking forward to celebrating their weddings as brides, as well as serving as maid of honor for each others' weddings.
