Sixteen people were arrested on methamphetamine-related charges after an operation conducted over the past three days, Duluth police said. The arrests stemmed from several narcotics investigations during the past year, police said. Officers seized 47 grams of methamphetamine, $2,418 in cash, and five firearms during the arrests.
Duluth police Thursday were looking for a man they say pointed a handgun at an employee at a Subway restaurant in Lincoln Park. Police said the man pointed the weapon at a female employee at the Subway at 2707 W. Superior St., before fleeing the scene after the employee ran out the back door of the restaurant. No words were exchanged between the two, according to police. The incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday.
