Shana Price, who wears an outfit with Velcro, jumps up and sticks to a Velcro wall Friday at the Senior Send-off at the College of St. Scholastica, an annual end-of-the-school-year fun day for seniors. This looked so nutty to me I had to stick around for a photo (excuse the pun). Pictures like this inevitably happen when I'm on my way to take another photo. In this case, I had photographed the required assignment and then stopped by the fair before leaving. When I asked her how it felt, Price's reply was...

One of the Interstate 35 tunnels in Duluth, captured by a camera mounted on the car's roof rack and fired remotely. A 14 mm lens and a 3.2 second exposure were used to get this photo in the dim light.

I really had no intention of taking this photo. I was stuck downtown Friday night waiting to pick up my daughter at a football game. Why not check out Halloween activities with my camera? I ended up at a popular haunted house on Grandview Avenue put on by Tom Grier. He and his friends had set up these crazy, hand-painted tarps of Skeleton Man, Frog Boy and other improbable creatures. 
The figures were ads for what lurked inside.
