Tom Kurvers, who won the Hobey Baker Memorial Award as a senior at Minnesota Duluth in 1983-84, speaks with the News Tribune on Thursday after watching the Minnesota Wild prospect development camp scrimmage at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. When Tara Haakonson left her hometown to attend the University of Minnesota Duluth, she dealt with discomfort over her new situation by excessively exercising and restricting her diet. She was diagnosed with an eating disorder and has gotten help through the Emily program in Duluth. One of her symptoms was that she felt cold all the time, so she would sit in her car in the sun to warm up. Clint Austin / caustin@duluthnews.com
