Junior hockey: Wilderness stay alive in playoffs

Jakob Romo scored two goals to lead the Minnesota Wilderness to a 4-0 victory over the Wenatchee (Wash.) Wild in Game 3 of their North American Hockey League first-round playoff series on Sunday at Northwoods Arena in Cloquet.

The Wild now lead the Wilderness 2-1 in the best-of-five series and will meet again on Friday in Wenatchee for Game 4.

Jaycob McCombs and Michael Covach each had a goal and an assist and Thomas Lindstrom had two assists for Minnesota.

Minnesota Duluth commit Kasimir Kaskisuo rebounded from a tough game Saturday to stop all 24 shots he faced and earn the shutout for the Wilderness.
