Reader's View: School Board fortunate to have Loeffler-Kemp
Rosie Loeffler Kemp is running for reelection to the Duluth School Board in District 1. She already holds a variety of leadership roles. In addition to being an elected official, she is an intrepid volunteer for more positions and social causes than I can name.
I have known Loeffler-Kemp for more than two decades. Her thoughtful, measured and sensible views on education, student well-being, and community issues make her a highly desirable candidate. She is the most community-oriented individual I have ever known and has deep first-hand knowledge of our schools and their unique issues.
Loeffler-Kemp's endorsements from the Duluth DFL, AFSCME Council 5, Duluth Federation of Teachers, North East Area Labor Council, and Women Winning speak to her well-earned respect.
We need a School Board member with the temperament to navigate the sometimes-choppy waters of public education with integrity. Loeffler-Kemp is professional, mindful, respectful of all perspectives, and, perhaps most importantly, wise.
We've been fortunate to have Loeffler-Kemp's voice on the School Board for her first term. Let's keep her in office.
Please join me in voting for Rosie Loeffler-Kemp for School Board on Nov. 7.
