Reader's View: Voters must choose wisely on Nov. 6
It is now the time for the voters to speak through the ballot box. I am asking my fellow voters to elect people who can represent our democratic values. We need leaders who are honest, who can work with others, and who can solve problems. I ask you to vote for those who have the vision to generate the best future for all of us. Which candidate is creative enough to bring us together rather than divide us?
A former president of Cornell University, Edmund Ezra Day, summed it up best: “In short, there are certain fundamental requisites for wise and resolute democratic leadership. It must build on hope, not on fear; on honesty, not on falsehood; on justice, not on injustice; on public tranquility, not on violence; on freedom, not on enslavement.”
