Reader's View: Remove voting machines from churches

A letter to the editor recently observed that if, under the separation-of-church-and-state doctrine, the Ten Commandments ought to removed from the Hibbing courthouse then voting machines ought to be removed from churches (Reader's View: "Apply church, state separation to elections," Sept. 3).

In my view, the letter made a very valid point, though one I had not considered before. Truth be told, voting machines ought to be removed from churches.
