Reader's View: Leaders, media lacking in moral foundation
Our Founding Fathers envisioned a citizen legislature. The outrageous behavior of career politicians in Washington, D.C., confirms the wisdom in this. We need more people in Washington who love America and have business experience. We need term limits and retirement ages.
More than anything, we need people in our government and in our country who know and fear God. It is anarchy for everyone to do what seems right to them. We could all benefit from adhering to the Ten Commandments. The finger-pointers need to remember three fingers are pointing back at them.
We need to pray for a nationwide revival. We need people of the highest integrity to govern our nation, state, city, and schools.
Journalists should be required to take annual training on integrity.
America has prospered for 240 years because of our moral foundation. The problems we have today are because people don't know who God is. They have not read the Bible. They do not want to obey the Ten Commandments. They do not treat others the way they want to be treated.
Only one perfect man ever walked this Earth. He was perfect because he also was God. He loved people and had compassion on them. He showed us the way we should live. We should be kind and honest and fair. We should not harm others.
