Reader's View: Tax dollars wasted on old barn
I fail to understand the reasoning behind spending more than $600,000 to renovate an old barn with such fundamental issues as foundation structure — especially when the barn is going to be used for storage ("New life for old Cook Home barn," Nov. 1).
Justifying spending those kinds of funds is, in my mind, impossible. I would think that a lot less than $600,000 could go a long way toward building a new pole-barn building in its place — if extra storage is actually needed.
Personally, I am tired of being taxed to death and seeing our funds spent in this fashion.
