Spring flooding closes more roads in St. Louis County
Spring flooding is causing more warnings and temporary road closures in the Northland, according to the St. Louis County Public Works Department.
County State Aid Highway 36 (also known as Arnold Road) in Rice Lake Township just south of Schultz Road is temporarily closed because of high water.
Three more roads will feature warning signs because of water on the roads. These roads are still open and useable; signs are there to caution motorists.
According to the county, the following three roads will have signs:
* County Road 890 (Rose Road) in Solway Township about a half-mile west of Caribou Lake Road.
* County State Aid Highway 40 (Pioneer Road) in Normanna Township about a mile east of Lakewood Road.
* County State Aid Highway 41 (Two Harbors Road) in Alden Township between Culbertson Road and Laine Road.
Anyone who finds a hazardous road condition is asked to call 911.
