U.S. Rep. Peterson announces key ag committee aide

WASHINGTON – U.S. House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson, D-Minn.,  has announced that Minnesota farm native Katie Zenk has joined the committee minority staff.

“Katie will bring impressive policy knowledge to the committee and will play an important role in developing policy for a new farm bill,” Peterson, who represents most of western Minnesota, said.

Zenk holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and is in the process of completing graduate degrees in agricultural economics from Purdue University and business administration from Indiana University. Zenk previously interned with the committee and spent the last six years covering farm and food policy with Land O’Lakes Inc.
