St. Louis County board approves one-county policy
St. Louis County commissioners on Tuesday gave final approval to a resolution reaffirming the county's legislative priorities and reaffirming an official position that the county should remain undivided.
The vote, as it was in committee two weeks ago, was 5-2, with the majority saying the county should not be divided north and south into separate counties.
Commissioner Tom Rukavina had raised the issue again. The idea of splitting the county has been tossed around for decades without action.
