Duluth man pleads guilty to child porn charge

Dana Dale Bluebird

A Duluth man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to his arrest.

Dana Dale Bluebird, 33, entered the plea to a felony charge Friday in State District Court in Duluth, according to court records.

According to a criminal complaint, an investigator with the Duluth Police Department assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received the tip on Jan. 19. The tip stated that five files of suspected pornography, including three that had child victims confirmed through NCMEC, had been uploaded to a Dropbox account.

Investigators said Bluebird's name was listed on the Dropbox account, and that a digital trail showed that the images had been uploaded from a residence in Morgan Park. He was arrested and charged in January.

Bluebird's sentencing is scheduled for May 23.
