Three held on synthetic drug charges in Hayward
Authorities arrested three suspects after allegedly discovering synthetic drugs, commonly referred to as “bath salts” in their homes over a two-day period.
The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, Hayward Police Department and Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigations performed a search warrant at a home on Kreyer Lane in Hayward on July 8. Law enforcement reported finding more than 231 grams of bath salts at the home.
On July 9, a second search warrant was performed at a home on Margaret Lane in Hayward. Authorities found more than 168 grams of bath salts, along with synthetic marijuana.
The three suspects, all of Hayward, are in custody at the Sawyer County Jail.
