Canadians bringing tai chi to Duluth
The Chinese martial art of tai chi will be featured during a visit by 30 people from Duluth’s sister city of Thunder Bay.
The Canadians will be in town Tuesday through Thursday in partnership with the University of Minnesota Duluth’s University for Seniors.
The following events are open to the public:
- Tai chi demonstration at Lake Place Park, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday (free)
- Vista Fleet cruise with Thunder Bay visitors and University for Seniors members, 10:45 a.m. to noon Wednesday ($16 per person; pay the the dock and arrive dockside by 10 a.m.)
- Tai chi demonstration at Leif Erickson Park, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (free).
If there is inclement weather, the tai chi demonstrations will take place at First Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Superior St.
