Now in its 8th year, the Duluth Superior Film Festival has gained a strong following and supplied some memorable stories behind the scenes.

Festival organizer Richard Hansen joins us to talk about those unforgettable moments and this year’s lineup, which includes a variety of shorts and cultural films featuring strong female and Native American leads. The free, five-day festival begins Wednesday, May 31.

What we are into this week: Cloquet Forestry Center, the Netflix series “The Keepers”, the book “Ill Will” by Dan Chaon, and puzzle rooms (Hansen is also the owner of Solve Entertainment in Duluth).

Tune in every week to hear Duluth News Tribune reporters Brady Slater, Christa Lawler and Tom Olsen talk about current Duluth and Northland happenings. You can email us at, call our podcast line at 218-382-NEWS or follow us on Facebook.
