This week on Pressroom Podcast we have the Homegrown Music Festival closer, who also happens to be the man who survived driving his truck off Duluth’s Blatnik Bridge last winter.

Duluth News Tribune reporters Christa Lawler, Brady Slater and Tom Olsen interview Mark Anderson of the Duluth jazz trio titled after his name.

Recovering remarkably well from his crash, Anderson walks us through the seconds before his crash, how soon it took him to get back to his music and how one gets into the Duluth Owls Club. The Mark Anderson Trio closes the weeklong local music festival on Sunday, May 7 at 3:30 p.m. at Canal Park Brewing Company.

What we are into this week: Jazz music, season 3 of the FX television series “Fargo”, the Netflix series “Girlboss”, and the Stevie Wonder catalog.

Tune in every week to hear Duluth News Tribune reporters Brady Slater, Christa Lawler and Tom Olsen talk about current Duluth and Northland happenings. You can email us at, call our podcast line at 218-382-NEWS or follow us on Facebook.
