Farm fare and races
For a weekend full of fest attendance, Sunday brings the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Food and Farm Festival.
Meant to raise money for seeds for UMD’s Sustainable Agriculture Project, the festival is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UMD farm, 3568 Riley Road. It includes a farmer’s market, music, a $5 meal made from local produce, caramel apple dipping, a petting zoo and face painting. A kids free fun run with UMD mascot Champ is at 10 a.m. and a 5K at 10:30 a.m. Race entry includes a T-shirt and meal. Parking and admission are free.
