U.S. curlers strike gold: Duluth Curling Club team wins Olympic gold medal

Eh?: Virulent pixels

The Duluth Photography Institute is holding a discussion at 6 p.m. July 28 with Hannah Hudson on the topic of going viral with photography and social media.

Hudson, photographer of the now-famous viral image of Shoep the dog and owner, John Unger, swimming in Lake Superior, will relate her experience being the photographer of a photo that has seen millions of views on social media and news websites.

Hudson is expected to discuss the ups and downs of the social media chaos, and how to manage your business when it seems the whole world is knocking on your door.

The event will be held at the Duluth Photography Institute, 405 E. Superior St., and is free for DPI members and $5 for nonmembers. Refreshments will be served. All interested attendees are asked to RSVP to Brian at (218) 393-2468, or email
