Best Bets: Movies in the Park caps season with screening of “Frozen”

“Frozen” plays Friday during Movies in the Park at Leif Erikson Park.

Lest you haven’t exhausted your willingness to hear the song “Let It Go,” the Greater Downtown Council’s oh-so-charming summer feature Movies in the Park closes with a screening of “Frozen.”

For those without access to pop culture, the 2013 Disney flick is the story of a very determined princess who sets off on a journey to find her sister — who has used her powers to create a perma-winter.

The animated movie is based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story “The Snow Queen.”

Bring a blanket (or two) and munchies and soak up the vista. This film has to tide you over until next summer’s Movies in the Park season.
