A frosted-tipped Food Network celebrity made his way to a West Duluth restaurant Monday evening.

Guy Fieri, famous restaurateur and host of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” visited Pak’s Green Corner on Monday evening.

“This was a big deal for me,” said Pak Williams, the restaurant owner. “It was my silent dream come true.”

According to photos posted on the Facebook pages of other Twin Ports restaurants, Fieri also stopped in at Gannucci's Italian Market in West Duluth, and Shorty's Pizza & Smoked Meat in Superior.

At Pak's Green Corner, Fieri and his TV crew filmed for a couple of hours for an upcoming “Diners” episode. Williams said Fieri helped her cook and even interviewed four of her customers. She made him a Bangkok pad thai chicken burrito, which is chicken pad thai with vegetables in a tortilla with romaine lettuce.

“He is so professional … he cooked with me and helped me with little things,” Williams said. “He said he liked my food and he ate it all up.”

Pak’s Green Corner, which opened in August 2012, is known for Thai food. The menu includes spicy Thai salad and Thai dumplings.

“This was a fantastic experience,” Williams said. “I just want to thank Fieri as well as my customers, employees and family for their help and support.”

The Food Network star has profiled several other Northland eateries in the past few years, including the Duluth Grill, At Sara’s Table/Chester Creek Cafe and Northern Waters Smokehaus in Duluth, Gordy’s Hi-Hat in Cloquet and the Anchor Bar in Superior.
