Best Bets: GB Leighton plays Clyde Iron Works

This is the first year in ages that Minneapolis band GB Leighton isn’t headlining the Grandma’s Marathon tent entertainment. Never fear, Pickle Park fans, the band is still in town.

GB Leighton plays at 9 p.m. Friday at Clyde Iron Works, a show not affiliated with the marathon.

Expect to hear fan-friendly covers of Prince, Bruce and more in addition to original tunes from the fun-time sing-along band fronted by Brian Leighton.

The six-man band plays about 200 shows a year — and keeps Duluth in the rotation — and has sold more than 70,000 albums.
