The pressure is on the local playwrights — and those who just occasionally play at playwriting. On Friday night, eight writers will draw who, what and where prompts. They’ll have until Saturday morning to create a one-act script that local actors will rehearse throughout the day and perform Saturday night.

As a twist: Each script must incorporate a common cameo, in this case, Crystal Pelkey, the producing director of The Underground.
