Trampled By Turtles to play Bayfront in June

Trampled By Turtles isn't listed on the schedule for Homegrown Music Festival, but the Duluth-bred band will have a show with other big-time MInnesota acts this summer at Bayfront Festival Park.

Trampled, Doomtree, Low and Haley Bonar will play an all-ages show June 28, according to the venue's website. The gates open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and available at; $30 at the door.

Trampled By Turtles will release its album "Wild Animals" -- produced by Alan Sparhawk of Low -- in July. Doomtree is a Minneapolis-based hip-hop collective that includes Dessa, who performed at The Rex this past Friday. Haley Bonar is a singer-songwriter who got her start in Duluth.
