Hey, old-timer who cranks on and on about the entertainment world’s late start times: Renegade’s improv comedy team is bringing its show to primetime hours.

The crew will present long-form improv at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Teatro Zuccone.

The comedians will take a one-word suggestion from the audience and then riff on it, and ultimately build a whole little one-act comedy play around it. In the second half of the show, they will take a word with two meanings and weave the meanings together into a single story.

Sound think-y and dull? Then you’ve never heard of Upright Citizens Brigade, which has built an entire movement around long-form comedy. Plus, Renegade is promising fast and filthy fun and never the same show twice.
