Tape up your glasses and fasten the pocket protector: It’s Nerd Nite 30. Traditionally, the event —which was practically invented here, though not really — features three presenters speaking for 15 minutes-ish on things they are super into: My Little Ponies, politics, superheroes, the American Revolution, Stanley Kubrick.

The event was originally billed as an educational happy hour.

This session’s topics include:

“Steampunk Listening: Technologies of the Ear and of Human Relationships,” “Where are all the Leading Ladies?: Video Games and Lady Characters” and “The Scoring is Indefensible: A Quite Interesting History of British Panel Shows.”
