Reader's view: PolyMet’s mine will pollute the water that sustains us

I can only imagine 100 years from now how ad campaigns to draw tourists to Northeastern Minnesota and to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness will have to carry a disclaimer, just like packs of cigarettes do now. The surgeon general’s warning will be: “Drinking the water or eating the fish will be hazardous to your health.”

Please add my name to the list of “environmental wackos” St. Louis County Board members were discussing at their June 3 meeting — if my name isn’t there already (“County Board: No federal mining review,” June 4).
