Books

Title: "Saving Souls: Father Costello Battles a Demon"

Author: Jim Koepke

Synopsis: This novel is a fantasy/horror story about two teenagers who experiment with the occult. They unwittingly summon a demon who terrorizes them and their family. Their local priest is drawn into attempting to free them from the demonic forces. The material in this book describing the effects of demonic oppression and possession came from research into actual demonic possessions and obsessions. The author's research drew heavily on an interview with the exorcist appointed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Minneapolis/St. Paul, as well as book and writings of the Vatican Exorcist.

Title: "Amazing MN"

Author: Lee Lynch

Synopsis: With less than 2 percent of the nation's population, Minnesota is a model for prosperity, creativity and quality of life. This is not the usual tourism hype about Paul Bunyan or the best bed-and-breakfasts. It's about the fabric of the state — its constant investment in the arts, its dedication to the environment, its balanced economy, its educational attainment, and, above all, its water, in a world short of water. These 500-plus rankings and facts will surprise the most well-read Minnesotans. The state is home to: The largest Hindu and Buddhist temples in the nation and the largest sports complex in the world. The least likely place in the world for an earthquake. The safest drivers in the nation. If you're from Minnesota, send this to an out-of-state friend to explain why you put up with about 50 stinky days a year. If you're not a Minnesotan, join us. We're the state of the future.
