Best Bets: Goo Goo Dolls play Fortune Bay

Fortune Bay is billing this as possibly the biggest concert to ever play the casino in Tower. The rock ‘n’ roll lineup includes Goo Goo Dolls and Daughtry, with an acoustic set by special guest Plain White T’s.

The Goo Goo Dolls came of age in the 1990s and had hits with “Iris,” “Slide” and other jukebox faves that provided a bit of pep during your period of post-college malaise.

The band released its album “Magnetic” about a year ago. Absolute Punk called it a “safe, sun-kissed collection of 11 utterly harmless light rock songs about the delight of newfound love.”

Daughtry, an “American Idol” finalist, is the band behind “Waiting for Superman,” “It’s not Over,” “No Surprise” and “Home.”

Plain White T’s are a pop-punk band that had a top hit with “Hey There Delilah.”
