Faces & names: ‘Frozen’ star Menzel to sing All-Star national anthem

Idina Menzel will belt out the national anthem at the All-Star Game.

The “Frozen” star and Tony award-winning actress will sing at the pregame ceremony before the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on July 15 at Target Field, the MLB announced Tuesday.

Before the national anthem, Menzel also will sing Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” as part of the pregame ceremony that will highlight the 30 “All-Star Teachers.”

Menzel voiced Elsa in “Frozen” and sang “Let it Go” in the animated Disney film. She earned her first Tony nomination as Maureen in “Rent” and won the award for her performance as Elphaba in “Wicked.”

American country singer Joe Nichols will sing “God Bless, America” at the game.
