Best Bets: Actual Wolf Plays Red Herring Lounge
Oh, he of the signature red shades. It’s all happening, isn’t it? If you saw former Duluthian Eric Pollar d’s band play Clyde Iron Works during Homegrown Music Festival, you saw a band that looks like it should point its charter bus straight toward “Austin City Limits.”
Pollards, who also plays drums with Retribution Gospel Choir and seems to have moved to Nashville, sang about leaving and traveling and letting go and sometimes he leaned Elton Johns, but maybe that’s just the shades.
The musician has an ease on stage that makes a listener wonder if it hurts for him to sit and behave during RGC shows.
Anyway, Actual Wolf plays a free show at 10 p.m. Saturday at Red Herring Lounge.
Frankie Lee opens.
