Minnesota artists part of Rock the Garden
The two-day event, a collaboration with 89.3-FM The Current, is Saturday and Sunday at the sculpture garden at the Walker Art Center. Tickets are available at etix.com.
Music starts at 3:45 pm. Saturday with Lizzo, followed by Jeremy Messersmith, Best Coast, Matt and Kim and De La Soul. Valerie June plays at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, followed by Kurt Vile and The Violators, Dessa, Guided by Voices and Spoon.

Woodstock veterans to play Northwoods Blues Fest
Among the eight bands scheduled to play during the Northwoods Blues Fest at the Washburn County Fairgrounds in Spooner, Wis., are two that played at the 1969 Woodstock Festival: Canned Heat and Johnny Winter.
The festival starts at 2 p.m. Friday with Howard Luedtke and Blue Max, Selwyn Birchwood Band, Fleetwood Mac’s Rick Vito. Headliner Canned Heat takes the stage at 10 p.m.
Mojo Lemon Band opens at 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by Joe Moss Band, Sena Ehrhardt Band and Johnny Winter.
