Faces & names: Perkins survives round on ‘The Voice’
Kat Perkins was five minutes away from walking off “The Voice” stage for good Tuesday night.
Perkins kicked off Monday’s episode by singing “Landslide.” She once again drew praise from the judges, but it wasn’t enough to push her forward without fighting a second time. After a night of fans voting through iTunes and social media, Perkins was in the bottom three with blues singer Bria Kelly and pre-law student Tess Boyer. This triggered the “Instant Save,” in which viewers had five minutes to vote and save their favorite artist after they sang for possibly the last time.
Perkins chose to cover “Paris (Ooh La La)” by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. The song was enough for voters to keep her on the series, ending the show for Boyer and Kelly.
