Eh?: Living the secret life

Z Puppets Rosenshnoz, a Minneapolis-based puppet company reputed to delight children with feats of imagination, will unveil the “secret life of puppets,” for Northland children at two Duluth Public Library locations in August.

The first of the free workshops will be Aug. 4 at 3:30 p.m. at the main branch of the Duluth Public Library, 520 W. Superior St., followed by a session at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 at the West Duluth branch, 5830 Grand Ave.

No registration is required for either session, which is geared toward children entering first grade and older.

According to a statement from the library, “The Secret Life of Puppets” allows children to learn the tricks of turning sticks, cloth, string and even their own hands into lively characters.  Participants will watch a brief demonstration of puppet characters and styles and then participate in hands on puppet exploration.
